A site of important cultural heritage in Jakarta, the area centred around a lake is devoted to the preservation of the indigenous Betawi culture. Covering 289 hectares, the Cultural Village has retained its original Betawi architecture and layout. Cultural performances are shown every Sunday from 2–4pm, and visitors can enjoy local cuisine at the various stalls and restaurants.

- Jakarta Performing Art Theater
Gedung Kesenian Jakarta is a heritage building from Dutch colonial days, where artists regularly perform traditional and modern drama, concerts, and musicals. Built in 1821 its construction is in neo-renaissance style and was called the Theater Schouwburg Weltevreden or the Pasar Baru Theater since it is located just across the popular Pasar Baru shopping center.
